In my"Bojagi and Beyond" class, I learned multiple sewing techniques for making bojagi, a traditional wrapping cloth used to wrap gifts and articles of daily life made in both Korea and Japan since the 15th century.
For this project, I combined both traditional bojagi sewing techniques(Tongsol, Samsol, and Kekki) and some self-invented techniques and experimented with colors, fabrics, and multiple stitching options on the sewing machine.
